BBCOR SALE
What is BBCOR ?
Do I need a BBCOR bat?
- BBCOR stands for "Batted Ball Coefficient of Restitution.” This BBCOR standard controls the amount of energy lost when the player makes contact with the bat on the baseball.
- This is to control the "Trampoline Effect" that bats used to have.
- The National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) and National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) based in the USA have decided that the maximum "Trampoline Effect" of a BBCOR bat will be 0.50.
Do I need a BBCOR bat?
- Any players who are playing Junior League Baseball and want to swing a baseball bat with a composite barrel will need to swing a BBCOR certified bat.
- Any players who are playing Senior League Baseball (U/18, Adult) who are not swinging a bat made of all wood (e.g. DeMarini D271 Maple Comp) will have to be BBCOR certified.
