The Department of Communities is currently seeking applications for the WA Youth Week 2018 Grants Program.
Funding of up to $1,500 will be available for eligible organisations to host an event during WA Youth Week 2018 (13-22 April 2018).
Applications will need to address the following criteria: · The event/activity will be held during WA Youth Week 2018 · The focus of the event is on acknowledging and celebrating the positive contribution young people make to their local communities· Provides opportunities for young people aged 12-25 to raise issues of concern to them and explore possible solutions · Provides opportunities for young people to showcase and/or develop their skills and talents · Demonstrates that young people are involved in the planning and running of the event/activity · Demonstrates that the event or activity involves partnerships with other community organisations and/or local government · Evidence of sound planning and demonstrated ability to manage the project · The requested grant amount is reasonable given the aim of the project, number of participants and expected outcomes (value for money.)
Priority will be given to events that have not been held before and to community-wide events that involve partnerships with other community organisations and/or local government. Partners should be involved in both the development and delivery of the project.
Applications close at 4:00pm on Wednesday, 25 October 2017. Late applications will not be accepted.
